Soccer player Bruno Fernandes (30, Manchester United) saved a passenger who collapsed on the plane.
The British Daily Mail reported on the 12th (local time) that Bruno Fernandes saved a fallen passenger from an aircraft heading to Lisbon, Portugal.
According to reports, Fernandes, along with his teammate Diogo Dalot (25, Portugal), who joined the Portuguese national team, saw a man collapse on the back of the plane as if he had fainted while traveling from Manchester, England to Lisbon, Portugal.
Fernandez shouted "Excuse me, I need help here!" several times, and upon hearing this, the crew rushed to the scene and helped.
Susannah Lawson, who was on the same plane, said, "Fernandez headed to the bathroom at the back of the plane during the flight. Then, all of a sudden, she heard a cry for help, and everyone looked back. The crew ran back to help, and Fernandez put the fallen passenger in an empty seat," explaining the situation at the time.
"Fernandez and the crew made sure the fallen passenger was okay. I think it took about five to 10 minutes. After that, he went back to his seat," he said. "Fernandez was very humble. He didn't want attention for himself."
Lawson, who witnessed all of this, was part of a group that visited Manchester to attend a conference where Manchester United CEO Omar Verada spoke, and recognized Fernandez.
"We politely asked him to take a picture with us when we got off the plane, and Fernandez took the picture very kindly," Lawson said. "I praised Fernandez for taking care of a sick passenger. Frankly, if I didn't know who he was, I would have thought he was just a regular passenger."
Bruno Fernandes, from Portugal, is the captain of Manchester United in the English Premier League (EPL) and is considered a player with strong right foot kicks, excellent soccer sense and amazing opportunity creation. Fernandes made his 250th appearance at Manchester United on the 10th and scored the first goal of the day, contributing to his team's 3-0 victory. On the 11th, he was honored with the award at the 2024 Quinas de Ouro organized by the Portuguese Football Association. 토토사이트
